Five minutes

5 Minutes: Imagine you will completely lose your memory of 2010 in five minutes. Set an alarm for five minutes and capture the things you most want to remember about 2010. (Author: Patti Digh)

What I want to remember are the special events and celebrations with family and friends.

  • My mother-in-law’s 100th birthday party
  • The family events in the Twin Cities this year – all of which involved special birthdays
  • Juli and Jonah’s wedding

And I want to remember the sad things as well – the people we lost.

  • Cousin Leslie
  • Uncle David

And the dinners, and dinners, and dinners with friends – those we see often and those we don’t see often enough.

Trying to find beauty and joy in the world around me . I am many things, among them a quilter, a knitter, and an incessant reader. There is not enough time for them all, so I jump in between them as the mood hits me. Professionally - a rabbi; a hospice chaplain.
