Fiction Project

After participating in the Art House Co-op’s Sketchbook Project, I decided to take part in their Fiction Project. In part, this was because I began a Sketch A Day Journal and was drawing my dog three out of every four or so days and one of the themes was “Raining Cats and Dogs.” In part it was because although I’m thinking more and more in pictures, my primary form of communication is words.

Last week I finished the final drawings and mailed the book to Brooklyn. My story is the story of my dog’s life. Or my imagined version of my dog’s life. Here is my favorite drawing from the book. It’s from the section on “Training Your People.”

Natasha (the dog) is carefully studying “Mastering the Art of Being Underfoot.”

About wallcough

Trying to find beauty and joy in the world around me . I am many things, among them a quilter, a knitter, and an incessant reader. There is not enough time for them all, so I jump in between them as the mood hits me. Professionally - a rabbi; a hospice chaplain.
